At present the group has more than 244 four and five star urban and holiday hotels, and over 53,000 rooms distributed throughout 4 continents. The brand architecture is constituted by 4 insignias: Royal Hideaway Luxury Hotels & Resorts, Barceló Hotels & Resorts, Occidental Hotels & Resorts and Allegro Hotels. It is the third largest chain in Spain and the forty-fourth largest at international level.

From its inception in 1989, the Barceló Foundation has focused its activities in the areas of Health, Education, Development Cooperation, and Culture and Art; thereby aiming at the holistic development of the person, and the community as a whole.
